Giving Back: Philanthropic and Charitable Events
Philanthropic and charitable participation in the work place can promote a positive work environment and sense of community. A survey of Snelling offices across the country gave insight into how Snelling team members are involved in charitable and philanthropic organizations and events. If your company is looking for a way to give back to society, use this list to spur ideas for a great fit for your office.
- Combine exercise and fund-raising, such as walking for March of Dimes® or Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®
- Help out kids through Junior Achievement® or Big Brothers Big Sisters
- Establish a blood drive with the American Red Cross
- Compete against other organizations in a fund-raising drive, such as for the United Way
- Donate gently used items to The Salvation Army® or a homeless shelter
- Adopt a family
- Create care packages for U.S. troops
- Sponsor a local school by donating time and resources
- Collect canned and boxed goods for a food bank
